Abstract
- The article explores barriers to trauma-informed care for youths in publicly funded clinics. Topics include disparities in mental health outcomes related to adverse childhood events (ACEs), the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on mental health, and difficulties in accessing trauma-informed care, especially for racial and ethnic minorities. Researchers found that Black and Latinx callers were more likely to be denied appointments, exacerbating existing mental health treatment disparities.
