Abstract

This article explores the differences between public projects and projects in other sectors, focusing on stakeholder management, procurement management, and communication management. The author conducted a survey that found public sector projects are generally viewed as more complex than projects in other sectors. Stakeholder management in public projects involves dealing with a wide range of external authorities, interest groups, and political factors. Procurement management in the public sector is more formalized and regulated compared to the private sector. Communication management in public projects is influenced by the diverse stakeholders involved. Understanding these differences is crucial for effectively managing public sector projects, as effective communication encourages stakeholder engagement and reduces uncertainty and corruption. However, the level of bureaucracy in the public sector can hinder efficient communication, but this can be mitigated through clear goals and appropriate organizational culture.
