Abstract

A study conducted by researchers at Islamic Azad University in Tehran, Iran, aimed to develop a structural model that predicts marital satisfaction among young couples by examining the interplay between behavioral activation/inhibition systems and attachment styles. The study found that the inhibition system had a direct negative impact on marital satisfaction, while secure attachment had a direct positive effect. The activation system had a direct positive effect on secure attachment but a direct negative effect on avoidant attachment. The researchers concluded that therapists should consider these variables to enhance satisfaction levels in couples. [Extracted from the article]
