Abstract

A recent study conducted by researchers at Spiru Haret University explores the impact of oxidative stress on the gastric mucosa in animals. The study investigates the effects of drinking water with a pH of 4 and undergoing water immersion for 30 minutes, three times a day. The results show an increase in lipid peroxidation indicators, as well as a decrease in total glutathione and superoxide dismutase levels. This research provides valuable insights into the biochemical modifications of gastric mucosa under oxidative stress.
