Abstract

The article provides an overview of recent auctions of rare coins, tokens, and banknotes. Notable sales include a Victoria 1847 Gothic crown, an Elizabeth II 1980 gold proof five pounds, and an Austria Franz Joseph 1908 gold proof 100 corona. The auctions also featured unique items such as a Newcastle, County Limerick, Florence O'Connell farthing and an Irish halfpenny of 1806. The Andersen Collection showcased a Victoria pattern crown of 1845, a Victoria proof Gothic florin of 1851, and an Elizabeth II proof VIP crown of 1960. In the banknote auction, a rare State Bank of Pakistan note fetched the highest price, followed by a South Africa proof set from 1938 and a George VI gold proof two pounds from 1937.
