Abstract

A recent study published in the journal Endoscopy examined the use of a non-invasive faecal immunochemical test (FIT) to detect colorectal neoplasia in individuals with Lynch syndrome. The study found that a FIT threshold of 4.08 μg/g may be a safe strategy to postpone colonoscopy in approximately 9 out of 10 individuals with Lynch syndrome. The study suggests that larger validation studies should be conducted to further explore this approach. [Extracted from the article]
