Abstract
- This article explores the presence of wildlife in New York City, highlighting various species that can be found in different areas of the city. It discusses the diverse marine life in New York Harbor, including lobsters, crabs, and oysters, and the efforts to restore the oyster population to improve water quality. The article also mentions the wildlife in Central Park, such as squirrels, turtles, and migrating birds, as well as the presence of beavers and other animals in the Bronx. It further discusses peregrine falcons nesting on bridges, parakeets in Brooklyn, horseshoe crabs on Staten Island, and various species of birds and marine life near Kennedy Airport and Jamaica Bay. The article concludes by emphasizing that despite the urban environment, New York City still has a wild side. [Extracted from the article]
