Abstract

A recent study conducted at the Children's Hospital of Fudan University in Shanghai, China, examined the effectiveness of exclusive enteral nutrition (EEN) in promoting mucosal healing in children with Crohn's disease (CD). The study found that disease location, particularly in the upper gastrointestinal (GI) segment, was associated with mucosal healing following EEN therapy. The research analyzed scores from various GI segments and found that scores in all segments, except the upper GI segment, significantly declined after EEN completion. This study provides valuable insights into the potential benefits of EEN in treating CD in pediatric patients. [Extracted from the article]
