Abstract
- A recent study conducted by Fujian Medical University in Fuzhou, China, explores the relationship between white matter hyperintensities (WMH) and balance and gait recovery after a stroke. The study aims to investigate the impact of WMH on post-stroke balance and gait recovery by analyzing imaging markers on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). The study will enroll patients with first-ever ischemic hemisphere stroke and collect clinical data at 30 days and 3 months after stroke onset. The primary endpoint is balance recovery, while the secondary endpoint is gait recovery. The research aims to clarify the effect of WMH on post-stroke balance and gait disorder recovery.
