Abstract
- A temporary alternate channel is being prepared near the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore to allow transit for commercially essential vessels. This is part of a phased approach to opening the main channel and will be used for government and commercial vessels involved in response efforts. The temporary channel will support ongoing debris removal and cleanup to reopen the Port of Baltimore, with several companies handling salvage operations. Dredging and marine construction companies are also prepared to dredge a secondary work around channel if needed. [Extracted from the article]
