Abstract
- The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is offering grants to states and Native American tribal governments for the management of White-nose Syndrome (WNS). The grants, totaling $1.5 million, will range from $10,000 to $75,000. Eligible activities include monitoring bat populations, implementing conservation actions, gathering scientific information, training personnel, and managing WNS and the causative fungus. The funding priorities aim to support projects in areas where WNS is already affecting bats or where the fungus has recently arrived. The deadline for applications is May 8, 2024. More information can be found at www.grants.gov with the FON# F24AS00295. [Extracted from the article]
