Abstract
- This systematic review explores the neural correlates of emotion dysregulation (ED) in adolescents. The review finds limited research on the biological and social processes underlying ED in adolescents and highlights the need for more studies in this area. The review includes studies that examine the association between ED and white matter structural integrity, as well as studies that explore the relationship between gray matter and ED. The findings suggest that there are differences in neural correlates of ED across different diagnostic groups. The review provides valuable insights into the current understanding of the neural correlates of ED in adolescents. Additionally, a separate study suggests that neuroimaging measures may be useful in predicting and understanding ED severity in youth. The study found that a combination of neuroimaging measures and clinical measures could predict ED severity. Overall, these findings contribute to our understanding of ED and highlight the potential of neuroimaging in predicting and studying this condition. [Extracted from the article]
