Abstract

Transparent polymer materials, such as plastics, have become widely used in the packaging industry due to their excellent properties. However, their nondegradability has led to a significant environmental issue known as "white pollution." To address this issue, a transparent antibacterial film material was prepared using carboxymethyl cellulose and carboxymethyl chitosan as raw materials through an acid‐assisted freeze–thaw strategy. The material exhibits optical transmittance exceeding 90% and a tensile strength of up to 124.1 MPa. Meanwhile, this material demonstrated excellent waterproof performance as well as antibacterial activity to Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli.
