Abstract

A recent study conducted by researchers at Brown University examined the relationship between early life stress (ELS) and metabolic risk in healthy young adults. The study found that participants with a history of ELS had increased metabolic risk scores compared to controls. This relationship may be partially attributed to health behaviors and socioeconomic factors. The findings highlight the importance of early life experiences in contributing to metabolic risk.
