Abstract

A recent study conducted at China-Japan Union Hospital of Jilin University explores the use of ultrasound-triggered sonodynamic therapy (SDT) combined with a polymeric, ROS-responsive SN38 nanoformulation for enhanced cancer immunotherapy. The researchers found that the combination of SDT and the SN38 nanoformulation resulted in controlled release of SN38 in tumor sites, leading to enhanced DNA damage, maturation of DC cells, and an increased anticancer immune response. This study suggests that this new strategy could be used for cancer immunotherapy. Further research is needed to explore the clinical applications of this approach. [Extracted from the article]
