Abstract
- Researchers from Sun Yat-sen University in Shenzhen, China have developed a nanoplatform called ODLP-PEGH8 for the treatment of breast cancer. The nanoplatform utilizes the mechanisms of ferroptosis and immunogenic cell death (ICD) to suppress tumors. The nanoplatform incorporates a pH-responsive peptide that promotes charge reversal and improves cellular uptake efficiency. It releases a ferroptosis inducer and a photothermal agent, which work together to induce ICD and trigger anti-tumor immune responses. The research suggests that this nanoplatform shows promise as a therapeutic strategy for targeting ferroptosis in cancer treatment. [Extracted from the article]
