Abstract
- A recent study conducted at Sarojini Naidu Medical College in Uttar Pradesh, India, examined the expression of the CD34 antigen in benign and malignant breast lesions. The study found that CD34 expression was significantly higher in benign breast lesions compared to malignant ones. The most common benign lesion was fibroadenoma, while the most common malignant lesion was invasive ductal carcinoma. The researchers concluded that CD34 expression could potentially be used to distinguish between benign and malignant breast lesions, but further research is needed to determine its therapeutic potential in breast cancer cases.
