Abstract

A study conducted by researchers at Poznan University of Medical Sciences in Poland has developed an algorithm for rehabilitation procedures in patients with brachial plexus injuries. The algorithm is based on neurophysiology findings and aims to support the process of nerve and muscle regeneration. The study analyzed the medical documentation of fourteen patients with brachial plexus injuries and found that the most common injuries were of the mixed, all trunks, and cervical root types. The proposed algorithm focuses on motor dysfunction recovery and includes treatments for nerve regeneration, muscle strengthening, and maintaining functional ranges of motion.
