Abstract

Researchers at the South China University of Technology have published a new report on the use of nanoparticles in nanotechnology. The study focuses on the synthesis of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) using green chemistry principles. By using epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG)-decorated zein nanoparticles as a template, the researchers were able to successfully synthesize core-satellite nanoparticles with potent antimicrobial properties. The study provides new insights into the synthesis and potential applications of AgNPs in various fields, including food preservation, packaging, biomedicine, and catalysis.
