Abstract
- The article discusses synovitis, acne, pustulosis, hyperostosis, and osteitis (SAPHO) syndrome, a rare autoinflammatory disease that manifests with articular and cutaneous symptoms. The exact cause of SAPHO syndrome is unknown, but it is believed to have a genetic basis and be linked to underlying infections and immune dysfunction. The syndrome is characterized by extra-articular and cutaneous manifestations, including lung and pleural involvement, digestive tract issues, kidney problems, ocular manifestations, nervous system complications, thrombosis, osteoporosis, sarcopenia, and cardiac manifestations. The article highlights the need for further research to understand the diverse clinical manifestations of SAPHO syndrome. [Extracted from the article]
