Abstract
- Traces of burst oxygen bubbles in a cyanobacterial mat on the surface of carbonate layers of the Middle Cambrian (Amgian, Stage 5 of Series 3) on the left bank of the Lena River (Yakutia) are described and their origin is discussed. They appear to be similar to some Vendian (Ediacaran) fossils usually described as remains of metazoans (e.g., edrioasteroids). [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
