Abstract

This article discusses a case of isolated cutaneous crystal-storing histiocytosis (CSH) and its dermatoscopic findings. CSH is a rare condition where crystalline material accumulates within macrophages. It is usually associated with a lymphoplasmacytic neoplasm or inflammatory diseases. The article presents the case of a 60-year-old man with a plaque on his elbow, which was excised and found to have histopathological features consistent with CSH. Dermoscopy was found to be valuable in diagnosing the condition. The article concludes that considering CSH in the differential diagnosis of orange-yellowish lesions is important.
