Abstract
- A recent study conducted by Chonnam National University Medical School in South Korea has found that healthcare workers are at a higher risk of developing occupational contact dermatitis. The study focused on a case of a 42-year-old healthcare worker who experienced contact dermatitis caused by sodium tetradecyl sulfate, a substance commonly used in the treatment of varicose veins. The researchers recommend increased protective measures when handling this substance to prevent contact dermatitis. The full study can be accessed through SAGE Open Medical Case Reports.
