Abstract
- This paper presents a amidinyl transfer reagent for the synthesis of nitrogen‐containing compounds, wherein N,N‐dimethylformamide is used as the C1 source to react with hexamethyldisilazane, generating the N,N‐dimethylformimidamide intermediate. This intermediate is then reacted with amines to induce amidinyl transfer. This protocol can be applied for the synthesis of N‐formamide, benzimidazole and quinazolinone, for which amine derivatives used as substrates under optimized conditions. The advantages of this method are its operational simplicity, high efficiency, structural diversity in products with favorable yields, and applicability in gram‐scale operations.
