Abstract
- The Journal of Ultrasound in Medicine (JUM) has made some changes as of January 1, 2024. The journal is now online-only, eliminating the printing and shipping of physical copies to reduce their carbon footprint. There have also been changes to the Deputy Editors, with Michael Blaivas stepping away and Keith R. Barron, Jr taking his place. Additionally, Jason Wagner has left his role as the General Abdominal Ultrasound Subspecialty Editor, and Gowthaman Gunabushanam has joined the editorial community to fill the vacancy. The journal receives over 1500 manuscripts yearly and is working to increase its Impact Factor. The transition to an online-only format will allow for faster publication of accepted articles.
