Abstract

The scaling is a typical and influential problem in oil and gas production and transportation. In this paper, the sampling data of water-injected and mixed transport sea pipe in an offshore oil and gas field is statistically analyzed to obtain the characteristics of water quality. Analytical conditions are adjusted using software to minimize errors in the sampling and analysis process. Based on the adjusted conditions, it simulates different types of scaling that may be generated in the sea pipe and predicts the maximum amount of scaling with different type and scale tendency. The results can provide a data basis useful for inhibiting scale in the production process. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
