Walter Jarck, a pioneer in mechanized logging, passed away at the age of 92. He spent his career in the forest products industry, from logging machinery to engineered wood products. Jarck was known for his innovations in pulpwood loading and forwarding machinery, as well as log harvesting and processing machinery. He also played a role in the development of the Go Getter pulpwood forwarder and the Allen Jarck Harvester.
