Abstract

A recent report from Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Neurologico Carlo Besta in Milan, Italy, discusses the cross-cultural validity and reliability of the Comprehensive Assessment of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (CompACT) in people with multiple sclerosis (PwMS). The study found that the 18-item version of CompACT showed good fit and internal consistency, as well as excellent test-retest reliability and equivalence between paper and electronic versions. However, the researchers caution that sub-optimal scalar invariance suggests caution when directly comparing the three language versions. This research provides valuable insights into the use of CompACT as a measure of psychological flexibility in PwMS. [Extracted from the article]
