Abstract

A recent study conducted by Nanjing University Medical School in China examined the effects of dietary provision on the clinical outcomes of patients with malnutrition. The study analyzed data from nutritionDay surveys conducted between 2010 and 2020, including 5,821 adult in-patients. The results showed that malnourished patients who received dietary provision had a higher chance of a good 30-day outcome and a shorter length of hospital stay compared to those who did not receive dietary provision. These findings emphasize the importance of targeted nutrition care for in-patients and provide valuable insights for implementing effective nutrition interventions. [Extracted from the article]
