Abstract

A new report from the University of Ferrara in Italy discusses the increasing use of biophysical stimulation therapy, specifically Pulsed Electromagnetic Fields (PEMFs) and Capacitively Coupled Electric Fields (CCEFs), in the last twenty years. The report highlights the effectiveness of these therapies in promoting bone healing, joint preservation, and symptom relief. Positive results have been observed in the treatment of inflammatory processes, chondroprotection, and osteoporosis. The researchers suggest that these therapies have potential applications in prosthetic surgery and sports medicine. [Extracted from the article]
