Abstract
- Rural Studio, a student architecture program at Auburn University, has been working in Alabama's Black Belt region for over 30 years. The program focuses on providing affordable housing and addressing various challenges faced by rural areas, such as access to fresh food and reliable wastewater systems. Students live and work on a 5-acre campus, collaborating on projects that range from individual homes to community buildings. Rural Studio has become an integral part of the community, with faculty and staff residing in the area and contributing to local amenities. [Extracted from the article]
