Abstract

This paper meticulously explores ethical leadership through a systematic literature review, unravelling its intricate dynamics in organizational contexts. It navigates diverse dimensions, including theories, measurement scales, and outcomes. The Scopus database was chosen to collect 311 papers, which included the theme of this paper, between the years 2005 and 2023. Out of which, 48 publications were chosen for indepth analysis, following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews (PRISMA) protocol. The study's findings highlight the crucial importance of incorporating ethical leadership, not only in influencing overall employee performance but also in serving as a catalyst for various factors that play mediating or moderating roles within organizational frameworks. The global landscape, particularly in Asian countries like China, Pakistan, Malaysia, and Indonesia, underscores a growing emphasis on ethical leadership, evident through active engagement in studies exploring its practical applications. Empirical findings endorse the positive impact of ethical leadership on performance outcomes, advocating for an expanded scope, including those in India. This paper not only underscores the significance of ethical leadership but also provides valuable insights for future research. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
