Abstract

This article discusses the intersection of sustainability, climate change, and financial innovation. It highlights the importance of technology and financial innovation in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and transitioning to a green, sustainable economy. The article also explores the dominance of green bonds in global thematic debt issuance and the impact of tax incentives on corporate environmental engagement. Additionally, it addresses the role of institutional investors in shaping corporate environmental impact and the performance of Special Purpose Acquisition Companies (SPACs). The article concludes by suggesting future research directions, including the need for interdisciplinary research, the exploration of innovative financial instruments and technologies, and the development of regulatory frameworks for sustainable financial innovation.
