Abstract

This article explores the potential benefits of fasting in aiding COVID-19 recovery by increasing NAD+ levels. It discusses the role of NAD+ in cellular energy production and immune cell functioning, and how viruses like SARS-CoV-2 can deplete NAD+ resources. The article suggests that fasting-induced elevation of NAD+ could potentially improve immune cell function and reduce the severity of COVID-19. However, more research is needed to determine the safety and effectiveness of fasting as a therapy for viral infections. The document also provides a list of scientific articles related to circadian alignment, longevity, COVID-19, NAD+ metabolism, immune function, and fasting, which further explore these topics.
