Abstract
- A recent study conducted by researchers at China Three Gorges University focused on pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), a highly aggressive form of cancer. The study explored the interactions between tumor-associated endothelial cells (TAECs) and tumor cells in PDAC, identifying a specific subset of TAECs characterized by high expression of COL4A1. These COL4A1+ endothelial cells were found to promote tumor cell proliferation, migration, and invasion through the collagen signaling pathway. The researchers also developed a prognostic model called TaEMS, which accurately predicts patient prognosis and identifies high-risk and low-risk patients. The study highlights the role of HOXD9 and the potential of TaEMS as a prognostic biomarker for precise therapies. [Extracted from the article]
