Abstract

Researchers at Kunming Medical University in China have conducted a study on hypertension, a prevalent cardiovascular disease characterized by elevated blood pressure and increased vascular resistance. The study focused on a novel hydroxamic acid-based HDAC inhibitor called YPX-C-05, which showed promise in its vasodilatory effects and potential targets for hypertension treatment. The researchers investigated the mechanisms underlying YPX-C-05's vasodilatory effects and explored its therapeutic potential in hypertension. Their findings demonstrated that YPX-C-05 exerts significant vasodilatory effects and produces antihypertensive effects through the PI3K/Akt/eNOS pathway. This research supports the developing prospect of YPX-C-05 as a novel antihypertensive drug. [Extracted from the article]
