Abstract
- A study conducted in Nigeria examined the seroprevalence of poliovirus antibodies in children before and after a switch in poliovirus vaccines. The research found that children aged 24-119 months had high seroprevalence rates against all three poliovirus serotypes, while children aged <24 months had lower immunity against poliovirus type 2 despite outbreak responses. The study suggests that increasing routine immunization coverage and implementing high-quality polio campaigns can help increase immunity against poliovirus. [Extracted from the article]
