Abstract

A report from Persian Gulf University in Bushehr, Iran discusses the use of nanoparticles to alter the wettability of gas condensate reservoirs. The researchers propose that modifying the surface of the reservoir rock can effectively mitigate condensate blockage and its associated challenges. The paper reviews the processes involved in wettability alteration, discusses commonly used chemicals, and explores the use of nanoparticles and fluorochemicals as wettability alteration agents. The research also includes molecular dynamic simulations and addresses the challenges of molecular modeling methods. The findings suggest the promising use of nanoparticles and fluoro materials to enhance hydrocarbon recovery in gas condensate reservoirs. [Extracted from the article]
