Abstract

ELTA North America, a defense company based in Maryland, has been awarded a $30 million contract to produce radars for Israel's Iron Dome air defense system. The contract, funded by the U.S. Department of Defense, is delivering ELM-2084 multimission radars to Israel. The Maryland/Israel Development Center played a role in facilitating the contract by providing connections and resources to ELTA North America. The Iron Dome system, developed by Israel, is a cutting-edge missile defense system used to detect and intercept short-range rockets and artillery shells. [Extracted from the article]
