The imperial icons Holly Mary with the Child and Jesus Christ Pantocrator belong to the Orthodox Archdiocese collection from Sibiu. The historical context of these two icons is not very well contoured, missing any form of dating or inscription. The article follows the entire process of restoration of these two repainted parts, supported by the relevant scientific research. At the end of the restoration operations, it came to light an overall complex and novel picture of some icons attributed to Iacov the painter. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
