Abstract
- In an article published in Angewandte Chemie International Edition, researchers Jiefei Wang, Bingyang Shi, Junwei Zhao, and others discuss the development of a giant heterometallic polyoxometalate (POM) cluster for enhanced brain-targeted glioma therapy. The POM cluster, which is the largest of its kind, has adjustable active sites and is designed to overcome the challenge of delivering drugs to the brain. The cluster, co-encapsulated with Ce3+ and Ag+, has been shown to activate the apoptosis pathway of glioma cells and improve the survival of mice with orthotopic glioma. This research represents a significant advancement in the field of brain drug delivery. [Extracted from the article]
