Abstract

A research report from Chonnam National University in Gwangju, South Korea discusses the development of biosensors for the detection of pathogenic organisms. The researchers have created a biosensor platform using N-heterocyclic carbene-graphene nanotransistors that show high sensitivity and specificity in detecting pathogens such as SARS-CoV-2, O. tsutsugamushi, and E. coli in clinical samples. The platform has the potential to be used as a rapid diagnostic tool during pandemics. The research has been peer-reviewed and published in Advanced Functional Materials.
