Abstract
- A recent study conducted by researchers from Kyushu University in Fukuoka, Japan, explored the relationship between weight change from a young age and life expectancy in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD). The study analyzed data from 2,806 CKD patients and found that weight loss from 20 years of age was associated with higher risks of all-cause and cardiovascular mortalities in patients with CKD. However, no significant association was observed between weight gain and mortality risks. This research provides valuable insights into the impact of weight change on the health outcomes of CKD patients. [Extracted from the article]
