Abstract

A study conducted at Damascus University in Syria evaluated the effectiveness of peer-assisted teaching of medical English skills to non-native English-speaking medical students. The study involved a medical English conversation course conducted by a group of students, and participants were assessed before and after the course. The results showed a significant increase in participants' confidence in speaking medical English and using English in various medical settings. The study concluded that peer-assisted teaching was effective in teaching medical English skills and suggested further validation and comparison with traditional teaching approaches.
