Abstract
- The microwave dielectric properties of La<subscript>2</subscript>MoO<subscript>6</subscript> ceramics were investigated in preparation for their application in mobile communication. La<subscript>2</subscript>MoO<subscript>6</subscript> ceramics were prepared by the conventional solid-state method under varied sintering conditions. The X-ray diffraction peaks of La<subscript>2</subscript>MoO<subscript>6</subscript> ceramic did not vary significantly with sintering conditions. The average grain size of La<subscript>2</subscript>MoO<subscript>6</subscript> ceramics increased with increasing the sintering temperature and duration. The maximum density of 5.67 g/cm<superscript>3</superscript>, the dielectric constant ( ε r ) of 14.1, the quality factor (Q × f) of 68,000 GHz, and the temperature coefficient of resonant frequency ( τ f ) of −56 ppm/°C had been attained when La<subscript>2</subscript>MoO<subscript>6</subscript> ceramics that sintered at 1300 °C for 4h.
