Abstract

A recent study conducted by the Graduate University of Science & Technology in Hanoi, Vietnam, examined the characteristics and antibacterial properties of cotton fabrics dyed with an extract from the Diospyros mollis (DM) Griff fruit. The researchers found that the dyed cotton fabric exhibited positive changes in air permeability, moisture water vapor absorption, and weight per unit area, while maintaining thermal stability. The antibacterial ability of the fabric was reduced after multiple washing cycles. The study concluded that the dyed cotton fabric has potential applications in the garment and medical fields due to its excellent antibacterial properties. [Extracted from the article]
