Abstract

The article titled "Significant Holdings, What are they?" explains the acquisition of 9.9% of Telefónica's share capital by Saudi investors and the definition of significant holdings. According to the Securities Market and Investment Services Law, significant holdings refer to a percentage considered important in terms of capital and/or voting rights. Both the Public Investment Fund (PIF) and Morgan Stanley notified the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV) about their significant holdings in Telefónica. Shareholders and/or holders of financial instruments that reach or exceed a significant percentage of voting rights must make the corresponding communication, as Green Bridge Investment Company SCS and Morgan Stanley Bank, N.A. did. Additionally, it is highlighted that all transactions carried out on the same day are considered as one for notification purposes. [Extracted from the article]
