Abstract

This article explores the role of images in shaping cities and the concept of visual justice. It highlights how images, such as posters, graffiti, and street art, contribute to the visual discourse of urban spaces and influence our experience of them. The article argues that the management of urban images is a priority for municipal governments and discusses the biases and values that shape the perception of certain images over others. It suggests that applying principles of cultural significance to all public images and developing a framework for urban visual justice can lead to greater diversity, representation, and justice in urban environments.
