Abstract

A recent study conducted by researchers at Henan University of Science and Technology has identified a novel drug target for breast cancer treatment. The study utilized multidisciplinary approaches to identify differentially expressed genes (DEGs) and construct a risk model for breast cancer prognosis. The researchers found that PTGES3, one of the six genes in the risk model, was a potential therapeutic target for breast cancer. Further experiments demonstrated that PTGES3 knockdown inhibited breast cancer cell proliferation and migration, and three drugs (gedunin, genistein, and diethylstilbestrol) were confirmed to target PTGES3. This research provides valuable insights for personalized medicine and breast cancer treatment. [Extracted from the article]
