Abstract

New research from Gachon University in Korea focuses on the relationship between health-related physical fitness and blood pressure in people with intellectual disabilities. The study aims to identify which factors are significantly related to both systolic and diastolic blood pressures in this population. The research found that aerobic endurance, body mass index, and body fat percentage were significantly associated with both systolic and diastolic blood pressure. This study contributes to our understanding of how body composition and aerobic endurance can help prevent hypertension in people with intellectual disabilities. [Extracted from the article]
